~* Baby, It's Cold Outside. Let's have some tea! *~

Hi Everyone!

What a day! Glad I had time to do some crafting therapy this evening, hehe.

I had so much fun playing with the vintage images in my vintage holiday tags...I wanted to play with this sweet image again. I found out that it's actually an image used on one of the G45 Christmas papers! Coolness!

Anyhoo...I am entering this project into two challenges:
1. City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 33 ~ Blue Christmas - create a Christmas Card/Project with a blue theme
2. The Shabby Tea Room: Week #38 - 'Get In Shape' - make a shaped card or project using NO squares or rectangles

I used a chipboard teapot from my fabbie friend, Rina. I covered it with Melissa Frances DP. I distressed the edges and inked them up. Added blue pom poms, some lace, some Webster's Pages trim that I did surgery on and added pearls, some vintagey pom pom trim...I just typed up the sentiment on the computer and tore the edges and inked it up (I actually thought of Ros since I read her post about it being super duper cold where she is. Hope it warms up.). Added the sweet image and one of my UTEEd baby roses. I think I'll use this as an ornament :).

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Tuesday! I hope to visit you all soon...things have been so crazy!

~* Vintage Holiday 2010 Tags *~

Hi Everyone!

I made these tags last nite. Finally getting some holiday crafts done :)! Yippee!!!

They are simple, but I like how they came out. These images are from a CD of Royalty-Free designs that I purchased...I love these images :). The back image says, "Compliments of the Season."
I fussy-cut all the images ;p'. I added one of my fave pom pom trims and some pretty Poinsettia flowers with button centers. All edges are inked up with Distress Inks. Each tag is a little different. I placed the image depending on the background paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

~* "Art" (Simon Says Stamp and Show Your Distress Inks!) *~

Hi Everyone!

This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show...the Challenge is to Show Your Distress Inks! I must say that I think I use Distress Inks on almost all my projects. I love them!!!

I made a tag with goodies I received from Wendy Vecchi, thanks Wendy! I masked the vine flourishes...used stamps from Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 Art Inspiration stamp set. Aren't they fabbie??? I love the sentiments. I added distress inks over the masked portion and all around.

I stamped the bottle stamp on acetate and then played with my melting pot. That's UTEE in the make it 3-dimensional :)! I stamped the bottle label on crepe paper. I also UTEEd the flowers like my friends, Jo and Rina. It's super fun! Thanks for the inspiration, girls!!

I really just had fun playing! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day/nite!

~* Joy to the World! (Let's Get Shabby Challenge #18) *~

Hi Everyone!

I guess I've been itching to create! Here is my project for Let's Get Shabby Challenge #18. The challenge is to "share your favourite Christmas song/carol or hymn." I like a lot of Christmas songs, but "Joy to the World" seemed fitting.

My project has a lot of Melissa Frances goodness. I started off with this chipboard card base from one of her ephemera kits. I added some Home for the Holidays DP. The doilie, the satin ribbon flower, and the lace are also from the ephemera kit.

I made one of my "lotus" flowers, but this time I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to color it up. I added Melissa Frances glittered chipboard letters and a Parisian Anthology ticket that I wrote on. There is a Tattered Angels butterfly chip piece, some snowflake buttons and an angel button, a Melissa Frances corner piece, and some pom pom trim. Everything is inked up with Distress Ink :)!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Aloha Friday (Black Friday for those in the US~happy shopping)!

~* Do Not Open 'til Dec. 25 (ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge ~ Tags) *~

Hi Everyone!

Geesh, it's been so long since I've crafted...or so it seems ;p'. It sure was a long short week, hehe. But, there is a loooong Thanksgiving weekend coming up so I hope I get to do more crafting :).

I just opened up my blogger and saw the new challenge at All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge, which was to make Tags! I do love making tags (the tag shape is Tim Holtz' Baroque die) and I do love playing with the cutie C. C. Designs stamps from All That Scraps. The stamp I used is called "Sugar ~ Country Girl." Ain't she a cutie?? I thought she looked perfect in a red velvet? dress (ohmygosh, just thought about red velvet cupcakes, mmm...) The sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up!, which I layered over a mini shipping tag and added a baby Prima rose. I used some lace and a bunch of the leftovers from my May Arts project. I also used a twill flower (cut using Tim Holtz' Tattered Florals die) and a Hero Arts paper Poinsettia with a snowflake center. I added a few more buttons...I also added lots of Stickles and faux stitched around the edge.

Hope you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving! I am very thankful for all you, my sweet blogging friends. Thanks for all the encouragement and support.
big *hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a really busy busy busy week ;p'! Hardly any time to play, hehe. I just made this card tonite...

Here's a card I made for City Crafter Challenge Blog for Week #31 ~ Little Children. I really wanted to use this DP from Melissa Frances' Home for the Holidays paper pad. Aren't these little children just precious? I loved how the sentiments were on the DP as well. I added a bit of lace and trim and my faves, a Jenni Bowlin stickpin that I added a pearl to and a baby Prima rose.

~* JOY Ornament (May Arts - Show Us Your Plaid! - A Christmas Craft Challenge) *~

Hi Everyone!

Here is an ornament I created for the Show Us Your Plaid! - A Christmas Craft Challenge at the May Arts blog. I was a little stumped as to what I was going to create...but I think it came out cute ;p'. Thanks for the motivation, Sam :)!

I created an ornament from a chipboard ornament shape that I purchased from Michael's. I primed it with gesso and then painted it with red acrylic paint. Using the beautiful trims from May Arts, I weaved a plaid pattern. I added the wire ribbon adorned with pearls at the top to hang the ornament. I tied a bow using the 1.5" holiday prints/wired trim and adhered it over the hanger trim. I also added a couple paper poinsettias with pearl centers and some Making Memories glittered chipboard letters.

I used the following trims to create this project:
1/4" metallic/chain cord in gold (348-14-30)
1/4" metallic/chain cord in silver (347-14-31)
3/16" wire ribbon adorned with 3/16" beads in pearl (FY09)
1/8" solid polyester ribbon in black/gold edge (340-03)
1/8" solid polyester ribbon in green/red edge (340-55)
1.5" holiday prints/wired (MX44)
AG 3/8" - Solid Metallic (AG25)

I had a lot of fun playing with May Arts wonderful trims! I love them!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Oo, tea (isn't the can so adorable? oops, should have taken a side view, it's a telephone booth!)! ...and such a beautiful card!! I love the colors, the butterfly DP, the lace, the stitching, and the yummy seam binding! You're so talented and such a sweetie! Thank you for thinking of me., I finally got a Melting Pot. I am sooo happy. I want to try and melt UTEE and play around with it since I don't seem to get really good results when I try to wet emboss with it. hehe. Anyone play with it before? It says you can make chocolate with the melting pot...yummmm...

~* More Handmade Paper Flowers *~

Hi Everyone!
Happy Sunday!
I've actually been a little under-the-weather there's been a lot of crafty play time, hehe. I made some more flowers. The packaging I use is the thin paper that they stuff into your mail/online orders...I usually use them for my glimmer mist/spritz boxes, but I wanted to see how they looked as flowers. I really like them and can't wait to make more!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day and week coming up!

~* Industrial Grunge Christmas Tag (Studio L3 Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 20) - 2nd Post *~

Hi Everyone!

When I saw the challenge for this week at Studio L3's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 20 - Industrial Grunge, I was so intrigued! I always love to try out new techniques...I actually finally just got my Compendium of Curiosities...I know ;p'...

I used a chipboard piece that I cut using Tim Holtz's tag die. I used his snowflake mask and my Smooch Spritzes to create the shimmery background.

I had a lot of fun with the Industrial Grunge technique. I used it on the two Christmas trees and two stars. I had to improvise since I did not have some of the tools... I added my Industrial Grunge pieces and voila.

Hope you like it! Have a great Friday and weekend!
*hugs* and Much aloha~!

~* {Photo Heavy} Melissa Frances Shabby "Vintage Posey" Mini Album (SSS&SYShabby) *~

Hi Everyone!

{Sorry for all the text...}

Here's a mini that I made using some goodies I won from Melissa Frances. I started off with this pretty Vintage Posey Mini Album. The binding was a little bent so I replaced with with my Cinch wires. I painted the the covers, which were raw chipboard, with antique white acrylic paint. I added a layer of Multi-Medium to make the surface smooth and waterproof. I hand-cut the front and back cover designer papers and inked up the edges. I used the die-cut letters and shapes from the paper kit I also received. I added some Melissa Frances vintage corners and a keyhole that I bought and that I have been hoarding, hehe. They are awesome! I added a bunch of Prima baby roses, and bits of lace.

On the inside cover, I made a pocket using a Sizzix die and the designer papers in the kit. I added some lace I bought from Jo-Ann to the back, added a Prima baby rose, and made a tag from the papers (and added a bow).

All the inside pages were pre-cut, aren't they gorgeous! Super easy to make a mini. I inked up all the pages. The mini even came with those tags. I added a trim and a button with twine to each of the tags. I cut mini file folders and inked up the edges...they are throughout the mini. I added a bunch of Prima pom pom trim, aren't they adorable? All the vintage images are from Marie's Freebies. I have not totally adhered the images so that I can slip in a photo or something later on.
There are also vintagey buttons, a charm, thickers, and a cameo...there are some pages that aren't embellished. The mini was getting too big,, since the pages are regular paper, I did not want to weigh them down.

On the inside of the back cover, I added two tiny pockets I also cut using a Sizzix die on the back and made two more tags.

I am entering this baby into Simon Says Stamp and Show Something Shabby!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful nite and Thursday!
*hugs* and Much aloha~!
