~* Simons Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Show Your Layers ~ Graphic 45 Le Romantique Altered Tray *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a great week so far! Here's an altered tray I made using the Graphic 45 Le Romantique collection...sorry if I sound like a broken record, hehe. I really love this paper collection if you can't already tell, hee hee :).

I also love going to stores and looking at things and thinking to myself, "how can I alter it?" I've been doing that for many years. It's super fun! This pix shows what the tray looked like when I bought it...a cutesy purple and kraft tray for wooden beads (on the left). I was thinking to myself, doesn't it remind you of a mini 7Gypsies tray? I don't know what one actually looks like, but they are a bit pricely...a little out of my price range.

I painted it with glossy black paint (every nook and corner)...added the designer paper...added Crackle Accents on some of the images, then my fave Multi-Medium in Matte all over...some flowers (I glimmer misted the big rose with Peach Delight to match the shades on the DP, inked up the baby roses too), some pearls, some lace, some pins and buttons, some Tim Holtz and Melissa Frances goodies...Not sure if you can see this in the photos, I made some supports for some of the images so they are flush with the top of the tray versus in the nooks...don't you love all the layers...speaking of layers...I'm entering this puppy in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge ~ Show Your Layers.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Used some of the coordinating twill trim along with Prima lace. YUUUM...added a chipboard piece, two baby roses that I glimmer misted and a pretty metallic cameo. Hope you like it!

~* Shabby Chic Birdie Card *~

Hi Everyone!

Here's a card I made for the Waltzing Mouse Challenge #11 - use the sketch above.
I used an XL Bigz Sizzix die to cut the scalloped shape to cut the music note designer paper (I think this is one of mine and Tracy's faves :)!) and I inked the edges. I used the same die to cut a circle, but had to hand trim it down. I stamped it with script stamp and distressed and inked the edges. Then, used another punch to punch out the pretty birdie image from the designer paper and inked up the edges. Added some Prima lace on the sides of the circle along with some Prima baby roses that I inked up. Used my fave Webster's Pages coral pink bloomer...and added Prima pearl bling, which comes with the pretty fimo rose.

Hope you like it!
Have a wonderful Thursday!

~* Studio L3 - Compendium of Curiosities, Week 10 - Challenge 10: Distress Stickles *~

Hi Everyone!

You know how much I love to distress things, hee hee...I wanted to play along at Studio L3. I guess I'm into birdies too, hehe. I distressed the paper with Distress Ink, stamped the background music notes, and added some Distress Inks to the flowers and branches in the bottom part of the designer paper. I also used some Prima Pearl Panache Gold Dust flowers on the bottom portion of the piece. I glimmer misted one of the smaller ones with Peach Delight because I ran out of the smaller peach colored ones ;p'. I added a chipboard branch from Maya Road that I inked up with Walnut Stain and then used the Walnut Stain Distress Stickles. I added some small Prima roses that I inked up. I added Broken China Distress Stickles to the Tim Holtz chipboard birdie and inked him a little more with Distress Inks. I cut him off of the branch he was standing on so he could stand on my new branch. I also added Walnut Stain Distress Stickles for his legs and claws. Added a black bling for his eye and stamped "Listen to your Heart" in the upper right corner. I hope you like it. I had a ton of fun making this project :)!

Distress Stickles: Walnut Stain, Broken China

I had a lot of fun playing with my Distress Stickles...I can't believe I only have two...or maybe I lost some, hehe. I want to buy some more :).

Have a great weekend!

~* Simon Says Stamp and Show - THE Wendy Vecchi - Studio 490 Style! *~

Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday! My second post for today (It's actually still Thursday in HI :)!)...
Okay, I really love Wendy Vecchi's style, but I have never tried it...it's so cool...I think of reds, greens, antique linen (and blues) - colors...with black stamping on top...
Here's my little house. I took apart a Maya Road chipboard house accordion mini book...did some painting and did a lot of Tim Holtz stamping and inking. I also used some Maya Road chipboard pieces - the birdie and the flowers. I added "Friday" because Friday is my fave day of the week...it means the weekend is near ;p'. I also handcut some "grass." I hope you like my little house.

Have a wonderful day and weekend!

~* Miscellaneous Crafty Stuff *~

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday! Wow, another week has arrived. Seems like the weekends zooom by!
Today, I would to share with you a project that I had started awhile back...but did not finish until this weekend. I bought this Rooster Napkin Holder to alter...the recipient can use it to store letters or things like that. I inked up the front and back images (which are the same) because I did not like the original whitish color it had. I bought this wood beads, which I inked up. {I lost one of the "I"s around my desk, still can't find it :(...so I just inked up another one.} I used the burlap twine from Sam (thanks!) and tied bows at the ends. Added some baby roses that I also inked up. I like the country look :)!
Hope you like it KristinaH! Sorry, it may take a little bit longer to send out...too many things going on ;p'.

I made these pink satin flowers this morning. I had made some before using satin material, but I am using Jo's technique of using satin ribbon this time. I love this pink satin ribbon. So pretty! These are not as beautiful as Jo's though ;p'.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

~* Waltzingmouse Template Challenge - Tea Bag Baggie *~

Hi Everyone!

I adore the Waltzingmouse Stamps...waiting a little bit to buy some since my wishlist for craft things is getting too long at the moment. They do have a challenge to use one of their free templates in a project. I LOOOOVE afternoon tea and thought this tea bag baggie was perfect. I hope to make more as gifts :)!

I printed the template on ivory cardstock. Cut and folded it. Distressed the edges with ink. I used Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess die-cuts (I'm so happy they had teapots and fancy utensils on the paper, just like at afternoon tea.) and used some of the Le Romantique paper as the background.
Used some Webster's Pages lace trim in the back of the main image along with part of the diecut strip from the Domestic Goddess line. I used some seam binding from Sam {Thanks :)~}. Crinkled it up and tied a bow. Added the ticket tag, which was part of the free template, and added the die-cuts. Added some baby roses...oh, I pretty much inked up everything, hehe.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

~* Dressform Pennant Banner *~

Hi Everyone!

I made this dressform pennant banner Friday nite...it's still Friday over here...but this post will be seen as Saturday. Sooo...Happy Saturday!
An idea popped into my head after I made the card for Challenge #8 at Papercraft Star...{btw, I believe you can vote for your fav now :)...}I decided to make a pennant banner! I used the Sizzix XL Banner, Layered die. I used some of the elements to create my banner. I added stickles to the Tattered Angel pieces...added some more of the delish buttons from Tracy...and added some pearl bling blings...
Here it is...
Now for the fun part...Gimme an "I"....
Gimme an "R"...
Gimme an "A"...
What does that spell? Hi, Ira, dear friend...this one's for you :)! Hope you like it :)!!!
Here's the whole banner...sorry you have to see my ugly rug, but it's super hard to photograph something this long...hee hee. I wasn't sure how to make the ends pieces because this is my first banner, but I made it so Ira can attach it somewhere to hang.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Saturday!

~* 365 Cards - Day 165 ATC *~

Hi Everyone!

I've always wanted to make an ATC, but never did...until last nite! I saw the challenge at 365 Cards was to create an ATC! Wow, I didn't know they were so small - 2.5" x 3.5". I used some of the scraps from the Urban Junque collection by Rhonna Farrer. I adore this image so I had to use it. I did some script background stamping, and stamped the word, "Artist." Added Glossy Accents to the crown and the circular frame near the left corner; added Crackle Accents to the cherubs wings. I distressed with Distress Inks...added a rose chipboard piece that I distressed...added some baby roses that I Glimmer Misted....and then added those four pretty fuschia halfback pearls. I also made a stick pin with some pearls. Hope you like it! I can't wait to create more ATCs, LOVE THEM!

Have a great day!

~* "Enjoying the Journey" Mini Album *~

Hi Everyone!

I was finally able to take pix of the mini I mentioned in a previous post...I used Rhonna Farrer's beautiful beautiful collection called Urban Junque ~ I love it :)!!
I am entering this project...probably the front cover as the preview at the new Challenge Blog - Simon Says Stamp and Show. This week the challenge is Things with Wings! This collection has a ton of beautiful birds and butterflies. I used a lot of Glossy Accents and Crackle Accents to accent the gorgeous images. I also distressed every page and stamped some pages with music note and script backgrounds. The collection had awesome chipboard pieces and twill trims and bling brads. I used various trims, lace, flowers, stick pins, cameo, bling...hope you like it!

I hope to fill it with favorite pix/memories...things to be thankful for. Oh, and I finally got my Cinch! The binding is a bit off, but I can re-do, hee hee.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!
*hugs* and Much aloha~!
