~* Sew in Love (Let's Get Shabby Challenge #17) *~

Hi Everyone!

I made this project for Let's Get Shabby Challenge #17, Sunday nite. The challenge is about "Raiding Your Sewing Boxes," creating a project using items from your sewing box. There needs to be at least three (noticeable) sewing box treasures, pins need to be one of your three.

I created this piece by starting off with a square canvas. I painted it with antique white acrylic paint. I think adhered a piece of pink gingham fabric that I inked up a little to tone it down. I added the eyelet trim around the edge along with some Prima trim. I added some Prima roses, I distressed the baby ones with ink. I added Thickers for the title (added some pearl accents to "dull" the shiney black a little). The spools and scissors are Maya Road chip pieces that I painted with black acrylic paint. I wound string around the spools and added some Maya Road heart stickpins that I added pearls to. I inked up the Maya Road dressform chip piece and dressed it up with lace and trims and a bow. Added some Prima pearl flourishes and a seam binding bow that I glimmer misted with various colors.

I loved making this project except for getting burnt by the hot glue gun. OUCHIE! Thank goodness for aloe plants ;p'!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

~* Altered Frame *~

Happy Halloween :)!

I've been busy trying to start on the projects I have been meaning to do...I did a couple, here is one of them. It's for a work friend who just recently got married. I altered this frame slightly, just to add some character. I glimmer misted and stained the flowers and added the Prima pearl swirls. I hope she likes it :)!

Have a fabulous day, my friends!

~* H3LLO TH3R3 (Simon Says Stamp and Show Something Spookay) *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show, we are to Show Something Spookay! I'm a bit of a scaredy some vintage images just give me the hibbie-gibbies (hehe, how do you spell that?). I used a 6x6 paper from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found. It's the one with all the images of the people. Okay, I kind of got freaked out so I had to cover it with an Anna Griffin acetate that I added alcohol ink and Multi-Medium to. I wanted sort of a hazy look. You can barely see the folks in the back, but it's okay with me, hehe. I stapled the acetate to the DP with the tiny attacher.

I think I'm addicted to doilies at the moment...hehe. I distressed it and inked it up. I added a Sizzix frame that I also inked up and added Starburt stains to. The images inside and around the frame are from the Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante collection. I love G45, but these two images scare me for some reason. I added the crow image near her arm. Oh, I also added some black lace that I fanned behind the frame. I cut out the letters from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found papers and distressed the edges with my distresser and with inks. I also added some paper flowers that I distressed with inks and Starburts stains.

I guess this is not your typical spookay project...but I typically don't have spooky stamps and things, well, you know why...cause I'm a scaredy cat ;p'.
I might give this puppy away cause it's TOO scarweeee for me ;p'!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have an awesome Wednesday!

~* "DO GREAT in the small things" (PDCC#52 One Year Anniversary) *~

Hi Everyone!
It's the start of a new week for some folks. Hope everyone has an awesome week!

Here's a card I made to play along in The Play Date Cafe Challenge #52. Happy Anniversary Play Date Cafe!

This week's color story is to use pinks, oranges, yellows...I just had to use one of my FAVE DPs...I wet embossed the floral lace stamp background in clear. I didn't want it crisp so it wasn't stamped completely. I inked up with distress inks~love "painting" with inks. I also inked up a doilie. I fussy-cut the image from the Basic Grey porcelain paper, which is popped up with foam tape, as well as the sentiment stamp that I picked up from Michaels. Love the sentiment, love Mother Teresa's words of wisdom. I added a bunch of baby roses that I inked up. The bow is some 7Gypsies seam binding that I crinkled.

Hope you had a great weekend! We had fun picking pumpkins and corn :)!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hi Everyone!
If you've been following my blog, you know I've been making a lot of mini post-it note holders with magnets on the back for my office bake/craft sale...ever since I've made those, you would think I would be tired of making them, but I just find all different ways of decorating them!

I inked up the edges. Colored up Honey and added Stickles. Added some little flowers and pearls and a SU! punch with a SU! rub-on.

~* Ever After? (CCCB Week 27 ~ Rome, the Eternal City) *~

Hi Everyone!

Anyone watch Ever After with Drew Barrymore? It's like one of my all-time fave movies. When I saw this stamp awhile back, it reminded me of the artwork in the movie. It is drawn by Leonardo da Vinci...

Anyhoo, this is my card for the City Crafter Challenge Blog CCCB Week 27 ~ Rome, the Eternal City Challenge. My card base is a DP from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found collection. It's a map...see Rome, Italy? It's a little small, hehe. I did a lot of distressing and added lots of lace and trim, a doilie, some flowers that I distressed with ink, and trinket pearls. I glimmer misted some of the lace to make it vintagey.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

~* Graphic 45 Le Romantique Altered Wood Box with a Mini Mini Inside (Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything But a Card) *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a great week so far!

I was a little bummed that I wasn't able to play along in last week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show, but I'm back this week for the Show Anything But a Card challenge.
I altered a raw wood box that Tracy gave to me (thanks Tracy!) by first painting it with black acrylic paint. I then adhered my favorite Graphic 45 Le Romantique rose designer paper! I added the image of the beautiful lady on top along with Multi-Medium in Matte, Prima baby roses that were inked up, a stick pin, pearls, a Prima fimo rose, and lace. I changed out the closure by adding a pretty vintagey button and added some skinny satin trim. I decided to make a mini to place inside of the box. I made it with coin envelopes. I had to trim them a bit to fit inside. I adhered the Le Romantique papers, painted the edges with black acrylic paint, then added Multi-Medium. I embellished the pages at the minimum to enable the mini to fit and maybe add MINI pictures. I added tags in the pockets for journaling and mini photos. I used black lace along with large eyelets to bind the mini.
Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

~* Papercraft Star Challenge #17 - Halloween Photo Inspiration *~

Hi Everyone!

This week at Papercraft Star, we are creating Halloween projects based on this photo inspiration. Here's my country halloween card ;p'. I am ready to go pumpkin and corn picking!

~Paper: white cardstock, American Crafts designer papers
~Inks: Distress Inks
~Misc.: American Crafts stickers, heidi grace alpha stickers, burlap twine, Tim Holtz Mini Attacher, Martha Stewart border punch

1. Cut out 4"x4" white cardstock. Cut American Craft designer papers; distress edges with ink and adhere to the white cardstock.
2. Use Martha Stewart punch to make the border.
3. Punch out the circles from the patterned paper with a circle punch slightly larger than the circle so there is a white border. Distress the white border with inks.
4. Adhere alpha stickers to your circles. Tie three bows along a piece of twine. Staple the twine and circle onto the card.
5. Stick the pumpkin sticker to some white cardstock and cut around the image, leaving a white border. Distress with inks. Adhere with foam tape to make it pop.
6. Add bat sticker.

~* Let's Get Shabby: Challenge #16 - Kitchen and Recipe *~

Hi there!

Here's an altered box I created for Let's Get Shabby Challenge #16. I used Kitchen #2 as my inspiration photo...the required ingredients are as follows:

~One Piece of Fabric (the lovely rose on the lower, right hand side corner of the box is an image I cut from this collaged fabric I purchased)

~Two Die Cut Shapes (I used the Tattered Angel die cut frame and the piece behind it is a die cut shape as well)

~The Colours from Your Kitchen (mine is Kitchen #2, focusing mostly on the pretty rose fabric piece in the back, the light greens, the creams)

I had a lot of fun creating this little box. First, I painted it with antique white paint. I used images from a Webster's Pages' designer paper, lots of flowers, buttons, pearls, and a tiny piece of yellow lace and flower trim (like a baby WP bloomer) that I inked up...also did distressing with inks and added crackle accents to some of the images.

Thanks for stopping by! Have an awesome weekend and week, sweet peeps!

~* Papercraft Star Challenge #16 - Sketch *~

Happy Friday!
Today, I'm sharing my card for Papercraft Star Challenge #16. We were to use this fabbie sketch along with a digi stamp from our wonderful sponsor this week, Bugaboo Stamps! I rotated the sketch for my card.

~Paper: Pebbles DPs, white cardstock
~Stamps: Bugaboo Digi Stamp (BJ Butterfly, which you can find under Bug Jars Digi Stamps), Studio G (sentiment)
~Misc.: Making Memories white scalloped edged trim, pink satin ribbon, Copic Markers
{The dimensions of the designer papers are by eye since I am new at working with digi stamps and wasn't sure how big I wanted to make my image.}

1. Print out digi stamp. Color with Copic markers. Add Stickles.
2. Stamp sentiment. Mat it with the DP. Adhere with foam tape.
3. Adhere the digi stamped image onto a mat DP. Adhere that to the yellow heart DP. Cut a slit at the bottom of the matted image to allow the trim and satin ribbon to go through.
4. Adhere everything together. Add satin bow.

Come play along with us at Papercraft Star this week! We'd love to see your creations! You have until Noon tomorrow (Saturday)...then the voting begins and lasts until Monday. Come and vote for your fave!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

~* Did You Find Waldo? *~

hee hee, Hi Everyone!

I guess if you didn't see my previous post, you're wondering what I'm talking my grungey canvas I had some tissue tape randomly placed. Did you guess correctly?

Also wanted to show closer views of the microbeads and multi-medium ~ super fun texture :)! Unfortunately, some of the bigger globs were covered by the other pieces ;p'.

Wow, this week is flying by! Hope you're having a wonderful one!

~* {heart} YOU (Simon Says Stamp and Show Your Numbers!)

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful week so far! I made another little canvas for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog - Show Your Numbers Challenge.
This little 5"x5" canvas is packed with numbers, even the sides are wrapped with Tim Holtz tissue tape, which has numbers :). I scrunched some of the tape and put it randomly in areas (can you find Waldo, I mean the hidden tissue tape?).
I did some experimenting on this puppy. I've seen the gel mediums with glass beads in them, but I wanted to try to make my own. I used the multi-medium and glass beads and it came out cool. Love the texture. I did a lot of distressing with inks and starburst stains. I used paints, crackle accents, Tim Holtz type charms, Prima roses & pearls, lace...oh yes, and I used more of the Tim Holtz Lost and Found bits and pieces.

Hope you like it! I had so much fun playing! Have a wonderful Wednesday (wow, this week is zooming by)!
*hugs* and Much aloha~!
