~* Graphic 45 Christmas Past Ornament/Mini Scrapbook Album - Christmas 2011 *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!  I had a bit more time to sit down and craft again so I'm very happy!  I really wanted to make a special ornament for 2011 to display and to also have as a keepsake for future years.  I created this ornament mini using the Graphic 45 Christmas Past paper collection and a Sizzix XL Bigz Album Circle die.  The front uses a Making Memories frame that I further embellished with a paper poinsettia (Glimmer Misted and added metallic paint) and Stickles.  I also cut out the numbers from the Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess Alphabet sheet, distressed the edges with my fingernail and with ink, and then added Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The other pages were embellished with images from the collection, pom pom trims, lace, baker's twine, buttons, and more Stickles.  I love how Stickles accent projects!

I'm entering this project in Let's Get Shabby Challenge #30 - A List...I have the following in my project:

angel
holly/ivy/mistletoe/wreath (can use more than one but counts as one choice)
bell/s
snowflakes
tree/s
(it is an ornament :))

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Warm *hugs* and Much aloha~!

~* Graphic 45 Christmas Past ~ Altered Box and Mini Album Inside for Christmas 2011 *~

Aloha Everyone!
Boy, it has been a long time since I've visited blogland (beside my little pop-ins here and there).  I'm sorry I haven't been able to drop by your blogs, but you guys have definitely been on my mind!  I finally had a chance to squeeze in some craft time yesterday and today!  I had sooo much fun :)!  I was having crafting withdrawals.  hehe!
I altered a Making Memories embellishment box with papers from the Graphic 45 Christmas Past Deluxe Edition paper stack.  I also used some trims, Prima gold leaves, paper poinsettias, and twine.  I cut out cute scenes from the collection, but kept the mini simple.  I plan to add 2x3 photos and lightly embellish ;p'.  This project is a keepsake for Christmas 2011.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday season!
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* enjoy the journey *~

Aloha Everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!  My thoughts are with everyone who is on the East Coast, USA.  I hope that you are safe.  I haven't been able to check on updates regarding Irene.
Between being sick, work, etc...and a lack of crafty mojo, I haven't been crafting much...but felt some grungey mojo today!
Here is an altered piece I made this afternoon.  I started off with corrugated cardboard from a snack cardboard box.  I added Tim Holtz tissue tape around the outer edge, scrunching it and make it look worn.  I edged that off with some copper stain.
All the images are from a DCWV paper stack called the Bon Voyage Travel paper stack.  I cut out the passport image along with the travel tag and tickets and Honolulu postal canceling stamp.  I distressed the edges with my distresser and also with distress inks.  A piece of burlapy trim was place under the tag and tickets.  Used velvety brown chipboard letters for the title.  The button up top was stained copper with my alcohol ink.  Thick and thin twine was added beneath it for texture.  The butterfly charm was also stained with copper alcohol ink.  I added a wood button with twine and another metal button.  The compass is a plastic compass that I stained with copper alcohol ink to make it look less plastic-y ;p'.  I added a Tim Holtz swivel clasp to it.  Last I added glossy accents to the faux metal paper clip and also a piece of airplane trim.  I had a ton of fun playing this afternoon!
I am entering this project into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Travel! challenge this week.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely week!

~* enjoy *~

Aloha Everyone!
Happy Aloha Friday to you!  Hope you had a wonderful week!  I still feel rusty making cards these days ;p'...but here's a card I made for two challenges.  I used the sweet color scheme of The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC95, which was to use Navy, Bubblegum and Leaf Green.  I instantly thought of this sweet image to use.  It is a C. C. Designs Stamp called Sweet Kiki La Rue, which I colored up with my Copics and an atyouSpica pen.  I used my Spellbinders dies, inking up the smaller one with Distress Inks, a bit of lace, some halfback pearls, AmyR sentiment stamp, and cute buttons.  I used the All That Scraps sketch for my layout.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely weekend!

~* Sweet New Baby! *~

{inside}

Aloha Everyone!
Here's a card I made for my friend who just gave birth to a sweet baby girl.  I used a bunch of Stampin' Up! cardstock and my fave Stampin' Up! cherry paper, which I inked up the edges.  I wish I bought more, haha.  I used the C. C. Designs stamp and AmyR sentiment stamps.  I also used a bunch of Spellbinder dies.  I love the Fancy Tags dies.  I made paper buttons for my cherries.  I used some wire from a bunch of fabric flowers and added one of the leaves that I cut off.  There is some red crochet trim and burlap string.
I am entering this card into the All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge ~ Paper Buttons.

~*jingle belles - Shape-Up for the Holidays - Christmas Tree Card*~

Aloha Everyone!

So happy, got to finish up the card in my previous post today and got to make this card for the jingle belles challenge - Shape-Up for the Holidays. I started off with a chipboard piece from a Michaels' chipboard album I picked up last year in Cali. I added designer papers from Bo Bunny's a gift of love collection that I received as a prize from Cheryl at CCCB :). I also used the stamp set and stickers she sent over to add some background dimension. The vintage images are also from the collection, some were fussy-cut. I added some string pearls, Prima lace, burlapy trim and twine. Also added a flower from one of my trims. I had a ton of fun playing along :).

~* {Welcome} Baby Boy Card *~

Aloha Everyone!

Here's a card I made using the K&Company Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy Collection papers. I used my EK Success edge punch on a strip of the Designer paper and added that to the top and bottom of my card. Glossy Accents, White Enamel Accents, and yummy buttons were added here and there. The little boy is the C. C. Designs Sugarplums "Spring Trevor" stamp that I colored up with my Copics. I distressed the edges of the card with a couple of Distress Inks.

I'm entering this card into All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes. So happy I could play along this week! I miss challenges ;p'!!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely week!

~* Butterfly Garden Mini Album *~

Aloha Everyone!

Here is a mini album I made for my Mom using the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection. I love the papers, they are so pretty! I started off with combining pages from two Maya Road Scallop Square albums. I used Acrylic pages for my front and back covers and then I used the Kraft and Chipboard pieces in between. There are a total of 6 pieces. I distressed the edges of all the designer papers and inked them up with Distress Inks. The interior pages are also inked up. I used a lot of trims, laces, a couple of my stickpins, buttons, burlap twine and trim, Prima baby roses and fabric roses, Dear Lizzy metal embellishments, Prima butterfly, trinket pearls, a Glitz frame stamp, and the beautiful images from the Collection.

I am entering this project into the Pixie Dust Paperie July Challenge, which is all about Butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely week!

~* Bundle of Love ~ Baby Boy D Mini Album *~

Hi Everyone!

Just stopping in to say hi to you lovely ladies!

I made this little baby boy mini for my bloggie friend, Rose, from Rose's World. She recently had a baby boy and I wanted to send her a little something. I created this little 4"x4" mini from 130# white cardstock, which I covered with K&Company Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy designer paper. This is one of my fave little boy paper stacks...finally got to dive into it and use some :)! The book is bound using my Cinch.

I embellished the cover with a button, white Epoxy Accents, Glossy Accents, and also cut out the "Baby," "Boy," and "D" from the designer paper and popped it up on dimensional tape and added Glossy Accents and Epoxy Accents. The pages are lightly accented. Babies like to play with ribbon loops so I added some on the pages. I added some buttons, layered buttons, themed buttons, and Glossy Accents. I had a lot of fun creating this little mini. I hope you like it, Rose :)!

Hope you all have a wonderful week! This week is one of my most hectic weeks so far! Hope everything goes smoothly ;p'.

BIG *hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* Baby Girl Dress Mini Album *~

Aloha Everyone!

Here is the Baby Girl Dress Mini Album that I mentioned to you about in my other post. I made it for my friend who is expecting a baby girl in a month or so. I used the Sizzix Dress die and the paper collection is K&Company's Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl.

On the cover, sorry, the photo doesn't clearly show the two mini diaper pins hanging from the ribbon binding. I added ribbon and bows at the top of the dress along with buttons. The flower is part of the die, I colored it in with Copics (it was cut from patterned paper, but I wanted to fill in the white area to add more color), added Stickles and a flower bling. There are two pretty trims along with white enamel accents that I used to make a design. The letters are Thickers.

The other pages consist of trims, images I fuss-cut and added glossy accents to, a butterfly and satin flower embellie, giraffe button, little flowers with enamel accent centers, and designs I drew with enamel accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* Mimi at the Cafe *~

Happy Saturday!

Was super inspired to create this card for the Penny Black challenge using Circles. I used my new stamp set called Mimi in Paris. Isn't she a cutie :)? Love the French culture~wish I remembered my French ;p'.

I created this circle card with my Nesties. The blue circle was colored using Distress Ink and I added Stickles in Frosted Lace to tone it down a little. I then edged the next circle with Distress Ink and added the pretty pink trim. The last circle, I inked up with two different Distress Inks and then popped up the image that I colored with my Copics on it. The little sign is also from the set. I added a little pink polka dot bow to Mimi's hat and some tiny Primas that I added Gold Stickles to. I also edge the circle with Gold Stickles. Last, I added a little butterfly that I cut from a trim.

I had a lot of fun playing this morning! Hope I squeeze in some more time to play this weekend! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

I added some paper flowers that I had added Stickles to the edges and my homemade stickpins. I also added dew drops that I added Stickles behind, some plastic flowers, trim, and lots of pearls and bling.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! I will be posting my baby girl dress mini album that I finished last weekend soon!

~* Butterfly Notepad in Caddy *~

Aloha Everyone!
Thank you all for the warm welcome back! I hope to start crafting again, we'll see as time permits ;p'. Love seeing all your gorgeous creations! You all just rock :)!
Here is the other caddy I mentioned in my previous post. I used Pooch & Sweetheart designer papers to create the caddy (used the Sizzix XL die). Added a strip of the polka dot DP and some lace. Then, I fussy-cut the flower/butterfly image and adhered that on. Added a monogram "M." Also, tied on some black seam binding at the top and one of the fabric roses I love.
I had purchased some of the coordinating Pooch & Sweetheart notepads, which fits perfectly in the caddy.
I have a lot of ideas for the Sizzix die that I used...so there's more to come :)!
Wishing you all a lovely day! I'm so happy it's almost the weekend! Today was quite busy and stressful, but successful :).
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!
