~* Colour Splash with Sarah Anderson - The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC66 *~

Hi Everyone!

What a busy, busy, sort of stressful week! So glad I had a day off today! I saw the challenge at The Play Date Cafe - PDCC66, but didn't have a chance to play...(I remembered about the challenge when I saw Amy's fabulous card :).)

Here's my take on the Colour Splash challenge by Sarah Anderson. I used my favorite Pooch & Sweetheart papers. I added some black lace, May Arts pleated satin trim that I folded in half, and some halfback pearls. There is a Tattered Angels frame. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz's milled lavender distress ink. I added black enamel accents to the Maya Road dressform chipboard piece (I love theses chipboard shapes, hehe, saw they have bigger versions this CHA). I then added some tiny pearls for her necklace and a tiny lilac paper rose.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a lovely week!

~* Jingle Bells (Jingle Belles Challenge #5 - Amy's Lovely Sketch) *~

Hi Everyone!

It's been a busy, crazy week for me...but I wanted to play along with the gals at jingle belles :). This week, the fabby Amy Tsuruta made a sketch for Challenge #5. It's a super cute sketch :).

I made a pretty simple card. I used the Making Memories Noel paper collection that I picked up last weekend. Love the vintagey papers. I cut out one of the phrases, Jingle Bells (Isn't it fitting, hee hee), from one of the DPs, distressed the edges with my fingernail and ink. I added some pretty poinsettias I picked up locally and also distressed the edges of the background DP with ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

~* Moxie Fab World Challenge: The Appearance of Cameos *~

Hi Everyone!

When I saw this challenge at Moxie Fab World, I really wanted to play! I {heart} cameos! They are beautiful vintagey pieces of goodness :)!

So, here's my card for The Appearance of Cameos Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Come play along with me :)!

I finally broke into my Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 stack. I fussy cut the yellow piece from one of the DPs that had the same design as the black background DP. I used a Pink Paislee Artisan Element that I inked up. I also inked the edges of all the DPs. I added some Prima pearl bling. I used some yummy black seam binding, tied a bow...added a pearl charm from a charm necklace I took apart and hung with a gold baby safety pin. There are two cameos in my card (see the baby one on the seam binding?). They are amazingly plastic!
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a Happy Happy Friday and weekend!

Hi Sweet Friends!

Yes, you are sew fabulous! Thank you for always brightening my day!

This week at City Crafter Challenge Blog, the wonderfully talented Linda is hosting - Week 41 Sew Fun! What a fun challenge indeed! I wish I knew how to sew...took a couple days of lessons...maybe one day, I'll go take more classes! I really want to incorporate sewing into my projects...

Oops, I digressed. Here is my card for this week's challenge. I used Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess and Times Nouveau collections. I inked up the edges. I distressed the edges of the image with my fingernail ;p'. The lace is from Hero Arts. Added some baker's twine at the top with a cute scissors charm from my friend Lisa. I also added a Maya Road sewing machine chipboard that I added black enamel accents to. There is some black rhinestone flourishes also from my friend Lisa, some paper flowers including baby Prima roses, and two baby spools that I added baker's twine to.

I had a lot of fun creating this card. Thanks for stopping by and for all your sweet comments!

Have a wonderful Thursday! Almost Friday, hehe ;p'.

~* tea (Pixie Dust Paperie January 2011 Challenge & Giveaway) *~

Happy Weekend, Everyone!

Thank you for all your well wishes! I am feeling better. I took a power nap and am re-energized, hehe.
I always like to challenge myself...and I really wanted to play along this month at the Pixie Dust Paperie January Challenge. Miss Kirsty drew up a fabulous sketch! I decided to try out a 12x12 layout...I think this is my second 12x12. Somehow I get intimidated by such a BIIIG area. I wanted to scrap one of my tea outings. I {love} afternoon tea. Isn't the teapot and cup pretty? I used a bunch of laces and flowers and some pearl bling from my sweet friend, Rina.

Go check out the wonderful creations by the pixies, they are extremely talented...and also there are some amazing giveaways!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend :)!

Joy! {Jingle Belle Challenge #4 (JB04)}

Hi Everyone!

Yikes! I haven't made too many crafty things this week (been super exhausted and a little under-the-weather)...I did make something but it's on its way in the mail :). I have missed out on the last two jingle belles challenges :(. Bummers! Somehow I lost my Christmas card mojo ;p'...but I was inspired to create this week! For Jingle Belle Challege #4, we are to use dark pink, light pink, and lime green (love the fab inspiration photo and Stef and Lauren's pretty cards). I started off with this fab chipboard sticker I bought a couple Christmas' ago. I used some glittery DCWV DP along with two pretty May Arts trims.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy Friday and weekend!

~* With Love *~

Hi Everyone!

Hip Hip Hooray, the weekend is here :)!!!

Here is a simple card I made for the Gray is the New Black Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. The challenge is to incorporate gray in an innovative way. Come play along :)!

I admit, I tend to embellish a lot so it's hard for me to make a nice simple card. I made some felt rosettes (pink and dark gray) using a Sizzix die and added some pearl centers. I used some beautiful gray colored lace trim I picked up from a local dry good store. The stamped sentiment is from a Flourishes stamp set called Fanciful Flourishes.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

~* Winter White (2nd Post) *~

Hi Everyone!

Here's another card I made today. I dry embossed white cardstock using Tim Holtz Texture Fades. I added glossy accents and glitter to certain flourishes and then added acrylic paint in metallic pearl white (I love this stuff!!). I then added some trim and pearl trim, glittery thickers, a K&Company glittered flourish, and a baby white Prima rose.

I'm entering this into:
~ Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger: Winter White. Here is the trigger photo.

Come play along :)!

~ City Crafter Challenge Blog ~ week 38 Winter White (create a project using all white with only one other color as an accent...the little green on my baby rose is my accent color :)!)

Hi Everyone!

Been feeling a little under the weather the past couple days...

Here's a card I made using Webster's Pages Waiting for Santa and Sweet Season papers. I also used one of Webster's Pages new stamp sets called Merry Christmas Home. I stamped it three times (fussy cut around the ornate shape, then inside ornate shape, and then the birdie cage and birdie). The inside tealish piece is actually the Webster's Pages paper too. The birdie and bird cage are popped up on foam tape. I cut out some of the DP using a Spellbinders eyelet circle. All paper edges are distressed with ink.

I am entering this card into:
~Webster's Pages Tribute to the 2010 Design Team (this is a shoutout to talented sweet gals, Audrey and Jaz, love them and love their work!)
~ The Shabby Team Room: Week #43 - 'Welcome to 2011'! (to use 11 elements - mine 11+ are: Webster's Pages patterned paper (2), cardstock, Prima baby rose and red velvet baby rose, stickpin I made, pearls, gold Stickles, Flourish stamps (2), Webster's Pages stamp, Webster's Pages yellow flower trim, seaming binding (from Pixie Dust Paperie), Crackle Accents...)
~ Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC99) (to use flowers - I used baby roses and also accented the flowers on the DP with crackle accent, two Flourish stamps were used from the Fanciful Flourishes set)
~ Simon Says Stamp and Show your Newest Stamp! (I just got this Webster's Pages stamp yesterday! Thanks Terry!)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a great week!

~* jingle belles ~ something old, something new! *~

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Here's a card I made for the jingle belles challenge: something old, something new. Lauren and Stef are genius to create this challenge cause it will help a lot of us start making our Christmas cards now so we won't be all stressed out later. Thanks girls :)!

I used three different Graphic 45 papers from the Christmas Past Deluxe Edition to create this 5x5 card. I fussy-cut the middle image, which is popped up on dimension tape. All the edges were inked up. I added Frosted Lace Stickles on the four decorate "snowflake" shapes I saw in the papers and added a halfback pearl in the centers. The photo seems to only favor one of the shapes. I also added the Stickles around the diamond piece in the center. The crinkled seam binding is from Pixie Dust Paperie. I made a stickpin and added a velvet rose (thanks Rina). I used burlap twine (thanks Sam) to create a diamond shape on the big DP as well.

So my something old could be...Graphic 45 papers have the vintage feel...and the something new could be...I used my Frosted Lace Stickles, which I just got new refills yesterday :).

Here's a Christmas card from my sweet friend, Ira! Thanks so much, love the stamping and the embossing. Aren't the postage stamps too cute?!? Thanks again, Ira!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having an awesome 1-1-11 :)!!!
