~* Spring Time *~

Hi Everyone!

Most of y'all will be reading this post on Tuesday, March 1st. Happy March! Wowee, where did January and February go ;p'? I must say it has been a busy week so far again. I think it will stay that way...which is good.

Here's a little project I made for Studio L3's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 34 ~ Dimensional Collage Fragments. I was so happy to whip out my Tim Holtz book and play :). I started off with a plain square chipboard and added Tim Holtz DP from two of his stacks, the Lost and Found & the Seasonal Stacks. All the images in the collage fragments are bits and pieces I cut from the DP (do you see the little bunny and the little chickies with hats?). I added some vintagey lace, Prima pearls, and a bunch of roses.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day, my sweet friends!

~* A Vintage Man Wall Hanging *~

Hi Everyone!

Wowee, what a busy weekend...and no chores done! I wish I could have another day off :p'.

Here's a wall hanging I created for Simon Says Stamp and Show some Ephemera. Graphic 45 collections are filled with gorgeous ephemera. I used the Proper Gentleman collection, fussy-cutting many images to create this wall hanging. I had a lot of fun collaging the different images. There are some vintage wood buttons that I added twine to and I also layered a couple. I added Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy around the little poster images. I added Crackle Accents to the pocket watch. I made a typecharm with one of the tiny pocket watches.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely week!

~* peace be with you...my friend *~

Hi Everyone!

Yahoooooo! Tomorrow is Friday! Woot Woot! So very happy! Did you hear we had an earthquake over here?? Luckily I didn't feel it cause I think I would freak out!
Here's a card I made for a friend who is going through a rough time. My heart aches when someone I care about hurts. Hope this will help them feel a little better...

I used the fab sketch from Get Sketchy #75:

I used one of my fave Flourishes stamp sets. The lotus flower is just so pretty. I colored the flower and the lily pad up with my Copics. The sentiment is also from the same collection. I edged the circle with some fab lace trim I received from my friend Tracy. I added a button with string bow.

Look what came in the mail the other day! Some sweets from my dear friend, Tracy :). Thank you again Tracy for thinking of me.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a lovely Friday and weekend!
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* Happy Anniversary! *~

Hi Everyone!

Boy, am I pooped, hehe. Glad the end of the week is approaching!

I made this card for my folks' annivesary coming up. The stamp is a Kodomo stamp~love their stamps. Very detailed! I colored in the image with my Copic markers. I then matted the image.

I am entering this into:
1. City Crafter Challenge Blog - Week #45 ~ Nothing to it!!! We were challenged to make a creation without any bows, lace, flowers, buttons...just a one dimensional project.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Thursday!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a great week so far! Here's a card I made for All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge ~ For the Guys. I used C. C. Designs Spring Trevor and the little red wagon from Take A Seat, which I colored with my Copic Markers. I also used the sentiment from AmyR Stamps Big Words Sentiments. I challenged myself to create a scene. I always admire how Amy Y. and Amy T. always make the cutest scenes ~ thanks for the inspiration girls :). I used DPs from My Mind's Eye Stomp collection. I created a fence using my Martha Stewart border punch. I cut my own funky grass, hehe. Also cut out a cloud shape from the dinosaur DP...like Trevor is dreaming about playing with his dinosaurs. Added some halfback pearls leading up to his thinking bubble. Also fussy-cut one of the dinosaurs out of the DP so he could have a friend to play with. Inked the overall edges of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely week!

~* thank you! *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful day! Here's a card I made for Tiff's Sketchy Sunday Challenge TG008. I rotated the sketch clockwise 90 degrees. Instead of a beautiful bloom, I added a The Greeting Farm image that I colored with my Copic Markers and fussy cut. Isn't she a cutie?!? I used one of my faves, Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime paper collection. I added faux stitching around two of the DPs and the tab. The tab is a Stampin Up! punch and I handwrote the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely week!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far! What a fabulous sketch from Sketchy Thursdays to play with this week for jingle belles #8 card. Here's my card. I used DP from Making Memories. It was perfect because it had the little scene in a the half circle! I added some Prima fuzzy lace and then some red pom poms on top. There is some gold Stickles at the top of the Prima fuzzy lace and around the half circle framing the beautiful little wintery scene. I added some Prima poinsettia and leaves. I had a ton of fun playing!

I got happy mail yesterday from the most talented and sweet Amy Tsuruta! Thank you so much Amy for the sweet birthday wishes :)! I really appreciate it and love the card you sent. It is sew lovely :)!

~* you are berry sweet! *~

Hi My Sweets!

Happy Weekend! Hope you are having a wonderful one so far! I'm am super happy that the weekend is finally here! Woot Woot!
This card was an interesting journey...I started off making sort of a tag...I wanted to play with the decorative "kawaii" strawberry tape that I bought from the Expo the other weekend. So I made a rosette and added a button center, then I added some yummy pink trim around the edge. I added parts of a square doilie here and there...some more strawberry tape, some pink lace and pom pom trim. I then decided to make it a card ;p'. I chopped off the top of the tag and added it to this cute strawberry DP. The vertical pieces are part of the doilie and the reverse side of the strawberry DP. I stamped the cute sentiment by Two Scoops Rice Designs. I added faux stitching on the pink polka dot DP. All added onto a kraft card base.

This card is for the following challenges:
3. City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #44 ~ Cute Stuff (City-Tokyo): use the colors in this kawaii image of My Melody!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a fabulous weekend!

~* And So They Were Married... *~

Hi Everyone!

Boy, it's been a super busy hectic week so far! I can't wait for the weekend to come again :)! I love coming home and just crafting...it's just a fun, relaxing way to express myself. I created this collage piece for Let's Get Shabby Challenge #20 - Weddings. I used the beautiful Graphic 45 Le Romantique collection...did a lot of fussy-cutting of the images. The background image says, "And So They Were Married"...so as a matter of fact. I also added the lovely wedding couple along with several bride images. I added gold stickles around the frame's outer and inner edges. Some of the rose images have Crackle Accents on them and some have Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy. There is a Prima lace flower, some baby Primas I inked up, and some glittery flowers from the Prima bling. The dressform has white epoxy enamel on it. There is a bit of Melissa Frances lace and pink lace tucked on the bottom along with a pretty gold and coral pink heart.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a lovely day :)!

~* Vintage Valentine Tag *~

Hi Everyone!

I know, I know...hehe, Valentine's Day passed, but I was super inspired to create this tag using one of Ellen Hutson's techniques called the Blended Batik Technique. This tag is for the February Tag Technique Challenge at the Gallery.

I used a heart flourish stamp and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The image is from Tim Holtz' Seasonal Paper Stash. I also added a designed image onto the Type Charm just as Ellen did. I love that idea! I layered a bunch of yummy laces and trims, paper roses (one of them I colored up with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists)...I added Crackle Accents to the heart on the image. Also added some Crafty Secrets stickers and a gold heart button. The biggest rose and pink lace is from my friend Rina.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Wednesday!
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* Joy...Believe... *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a lovely day :)!

I am loving blues and lavender for Christmas cards. I was planning on playing in last week's prompt...even bought felt that Friday, but just didn't get around to it :(. So, I'm super excited to play this week! I inked up the edges of all the papers. The beautiful angel is from the Flourishes stamp set Alleluia Angel. I colored her up using my Copic markers and fussy cut her out. I added some gold Stickles to her trumpet. I added some pretty lace, two gold star buttons, and "sprinkled" some half-back pearls.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous week!

~* With Love *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful week! I've been busy. Celebrated my birthday with a fabulous seafood dinner this week...I {heart} crab and shrimp, hehe. Here's a pix of the crab I ate...nummy!

Here's a card I made for several challenges...
1. City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #43 ~ All That Glitters: We are to use Gold AND Silver in our projects. I used gold Stickles on the fancy flourished heart and used some pretty silver buttons.

2. The Shabby Tea Room Week #48 - 'Sweet Hearts': There was a wonderful inspiration photo. We are to create a project using HEARTS and any additional inspiration from the photo -- colors pink, green, brown & neutral, doilies, polka dots, flowers, lace, ribbons...OR ALL! I used heart stamps, pink, neutral (inked the edges), flowers (baby roses), and layered two difference lace trims.

3. Flourishes - Bring Back Beautiful...with LOVE! I used the Flourishes stamp set called Fanciful Flourishes to create my stamped background.
I also added a Maya Road heart stickpin that I added pearls to.

I would like to thank Miss Ira for the lovely award she gave to me. I really appreciate it, she is such a sweet and dear friend to me. Sorry so late in posting...my mind has been everywhere! I would love to pass this award to all my sweet blogging friends. Your words of support and encouragement make my heart smile. Thank you :)!
Thanks for stopping by and sticking out this looong post ;p'. Have a wonderful day!

~* A Get Together on the Patio *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! I should be sleeping right now, but I think I had too much coffee ;p'. Also, I really wanted to make this card. I have a few projects going on this weekend...some are in the "oh-oh I'm stuck mode" ;p'...

I made this card for The Winter Thaw Challenge at Flourishes (FLLCFEB11). They have a beautiful inspiration photo. I decided to use the Summer on the Patio set, which I used to make a scene. I colored in the images with my Copic markers. I inked up the edges of the paper and the DPs. I added some Hero Arts lace along with some Basic Grey buttons. I tied some string on one of the buttons. I also added some fabric flowers with some halfback pearl centers.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely day!

~* Love *~

Hi Everyone!

You'll probably be reading this on Thursday...so, I'll wish you a Happy New Year (Kung Hee Fat Choy)! Hope the Year of the Rabbit is filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity.

I started this card the other day, but had some trouble :/. I was inspired by Linda to use yellow in my card :). I don't usually work with yellow so it was fun to play. I fussy-cut the image out after adding white enamel to the swirly-whirly flourishes. Yup, all that white is white enamel accents (yikes!). I added Crackle Accents to the flower images and Glossy Accents to the word "love." I layered on Prima roses, baby roses, glittery rose from a Prima flourish, as well as a Prima butterfly and pearl flourish. The beautiful lace is Melissa Frances (it even smelled good, hehe). I added some pearls in the upper right corner and layered some vintagey buttons that I added some pink burlap twine to. The background DP has some antique white paint added to it as well as some inks. I inked the edges of both DPs. I also added some Stickles to the large rose and the butterfly's body.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
