~* Shabby Chic Bella Bella Mini Album (Photo Heavy) *~

Hi Everyone!

Boy, has this week been so exhausting! Sorry for not being able to visit everyone lately...To tell you the truth, I've hardly had time to blog surf. Just come home and sleep, hehe. I'm happy that I finally get to post the mini album I created this weekend. It's a Shabby Chic mini that I created using some Michaels chipboard albums and My Mind's Eye Bella Bella paper collection by Carina Gardner. I love the papers. They are so gorgeous. I acccented the pages with flowers (some that I have distressed to match the paper), Prima flocked rub-ons (pretty neat!), Prima pearl bling, flower trims that I have stained with Tattered Angels and stains, burlap twine, buttons, lace, trim, charms, enamel accents, pearls...I distressed all the edges with Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful week! Hope all is well and hope I find time to stop by and say hi soon.

big *hugs* and Much aloha to you,

Steph :)

~* Kawaii Hello Kitty Strawberry Wall Hanging *~

Hi Everyone!

How are you all doing? Sorry I haven't been around as often...things have been quite hectic at the office and at home, so all I want to do when I get home is sleep, hee hee.
Here's a project I made for my friend. She likes Hello Kitty, strawberries, and pink. Hope she likes this wall hanging I made for her. The mousey and bunny stamped images are actually old school Hello Kitty stamps :).

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely lovely weekend!

~* ATCs ~ Made in Hawaii with Love *~

Hi Everyone,

I was introduced to Tomoko's blog via Miss Jaz, thanks Jaz! Tomoko lives in Japan and she is trying to put together a fundraiser to help the Japan Red Cross Society. I really want to help out so I created these four ATCs. I did not embellish them a lot because I wanted to make them easier to ship. I will try to make more projects, but I will send these out in the meantime. My heart continues to go out to the people in Japan.
I wish you all a wonderful Friday and weekend. Take care and be safe.
*hugs* and Much aloha to you,
Steph :)

~* A Shabby Chic Trinket Box *~

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a great week so far!

I made this altered paper mache heart box as a "gift" to celebrate The Shabby Tea Room's birthday! This week at The Shabby Tea Room, it is Week #53 - 'Party Time.' I created a shabby chic trinket box. I use Crackle Medium as well as Antique White and Metallic Gold acrylic paints to create the wonderful crackle pattern on the box. I added some paper and fabric roses, a bit of Melissa Frances lace, some burlap twine, and two stick pins I made.

Happy Birthday, The Shabby Tea Room!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great rest of your week!
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* thanks *~

Hi Everyone!

I am happy to say that I did have several appointments with my washing machine, hehe.

Here's a card I made for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog: Challenge #16 - Mardi Gras Colors. We are to use Purple, Green, and Gold.

I finally used some of my Prima Fairy Flora papers. I also added some gold vellum. The stamp is a C. C. Designs Honey "August" stamp. I think she is just a cutie pettutie. I colored her with my Copic Markers. I added some Stickles to her socks and shoes. The sentiment is from AmyR Stamps Big Words Sentiments. I scattered some little Prima flowers and added gold stickles as their centers.

I hope to start some paperwork soon. Getting a little hungry though. hehe.
Have a lovely week, sweet friends!
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* Vintage Hawaii Card with Pocket and Tag (3rd Post) *~

hehe, it's me again...

I think I know why I have so much crafting mojo...It's because I don't want to do my chores and paperwork, tee hee. A small break...will do them tomorrow ;p'.

Here's a card I made, starting off with a kraft card base. I used the Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper stack. Even the vintage Hawaii image is from there. I distressed the edges with ink. I added a glassine bag that has some strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape on it and I also inked it up. I tied burlap twine around the card and added a metal button. I also added two vintage coconut shell buttons. Inside the pocket is a kraft tag with some more Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper and I layered some vintage Hawaii stickers (notice one is almost exactly the same as the one on the Tim Holtz paper? Cool!!! Also added one with the great Duke.) and some bits of tissue tape.

I'm entering this card into:

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely rest of your weekend! Please send me some cleaning and paperwork mojo :)!

~* Let the Spirit of LOVE... (2nd Post) *~

Hi again!

I super inspired to create this card today after making my altered clipboard...only had one appointment with my washing machine so far today (miss Stella, I need more cleaning mojo :))...

Was inspired by jingle belles JB11 Leslie's "Cool Yule" Palette: Kraft, White, and Pale Blue. I think my blue is a tad bit off being a tealish blue. I used a kraft cardstock base and cut out the pretty shape with my Nestabilities. Stamped a Flourish sentiment stamp in the center. Added a little Stickles in frosted lace around the circle. Wove some burlap twine in the "eyelet" holes and tied a bow. Added a bunch of buttons on every other hole and also a cool button at the bottom with a shimmery star and a wood button.

I was also inspired by the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #38. My sentiment is center on the circle shape and I used a bunch of buttons.

I am also entering this card into the CARDS Challenge at CREATE": Blog, which is to create a card with at least 10 buttons and into Flourishes the CUT ABOVE THE REST challenge FLLCMAR11 (use a die cut, a border punch, a corner punch or any type of decorative border.

Thanks for stopping by!

~* Beautiful *~

Hi Everyone!~

Just felt like relaxing a bit and creating this morning even though I have a ton of chores to do, hehe. I had a ton of fun creating this altered clipboard for Let's Get Shabby Challenge #21 'DENIM AND LACE.'

I adhered some Stampin Up! DP onto the small clipboard. I added antique white acrylic paint on the edges. Then I started embellishing like crazy, hehe. My friend from San Diego brought me some of these pretty chipboard shapes from Michaels when she came to visit last month. I distressed each of the chipboard pieces with antique linen and some paint. The birdcages are hung by strings of pearls.

For the denim, I added a strip of denim on the side. It was leftover denim from the one and only bag I sewed in my life, hehe. I hope to take more sewing classes though. I also added two denim rosettes that I also made with the scraps. The lace is my most fave Melissa Frances lace. I added a bunch of paper and fabric roses and Prima pearl flourishes. I added some stickpins that I made. I love that teardrop shape. The sentiment was from a K&Company embossed sticker that I fussy-cut; Crackle Accents was added to the flowers. I also added accents of burlap twine and some dimensional K&Company butterflies.

I also alcohol inked the clip of the clipboard with copper.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely weekend!

~* Just a Little Hi from HI *~

Hi Everyone!
Wow, what a night! We were on a Tsunami Warning from Thursday night to Friday morning. Sirens were blaring. I was unable to sleep because of the sirens and also because I was listening to the scary updates on the radio and trying to prepare for the worse. My heart goes out to all those in Japan. The photos and videos are so devastating. I hope that the aftershocks and tsunamis stop so they can start their recovery process. My thoughts are definitely with them.
Thank you to those who contacted me asking how I am. I am fine. We were very blessed to not be affected much, mostly harbors were affected and boats were damaged. Just a little exhausted...but I am thankful.
Please take care and be safe.
*hugs* and Much aloha to you~!

~* thank you *~

Hi Everyone!

It's me again! I was really inspired to create tonite! I've been meaning to use the shell stamps in the Flourishes Seaside Life stamp set for awhile now. I love Flourishes stamps because they look so real and they are so detailed. The challenge for the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful "Time for Neutral Beauty" Challenge was to use neutral shades (shades of gray, brown, or even black and white). I started off with a kraft cardstock base. I stamped one of the shell images and colored it in with my Copic Markers. I even added a faint light gray shadow. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I inked up the edges with Distress Ink. Tied burlap twine around the card and added vintage coconut shell and wood buttons.
It looks a little simple, but it reminds me of the beach~open and calm ;p'.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a lovely week!

~* Easter Greetings *~

Hi Everyone!

What an exhausting week! On Tuesday, I thought it was Thursday, haha...so much going on, but in between the madness I have been crafting...just haven't been able to post. Here's a card I made for The Kraft Journal's Make It Monday Challenge #9 Spring Fling. I started off with some kraft cardstock and I also used pieces of Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime collection papers and the image is from the Tim Holtz Seasonal Stack. I distressed all the edges with Antique White acrylic paint. The pretty lace trim is from Kaisercraft as well as the two layered paper flowers under the baby Prima rose. I tied bows with burlap twine through the three buttons.

Here's a card I made right after I made this one. I don't usually make similar cards, but I wanted to send one off to someone. I fanned a bit of lace and added some burlap twine that I made loopy (inspired by Miss Vio).

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a lovely Thursday! Soon it will be Aloha Friday again :)!

~* I treasure our friendship *~

Happy Weekend, Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful and relaxing weekend!! Mine has been great so far :)!

Here's a card I made with my new Hero Arts stamp, Musical Collage. It's quite a LARGE stamp and covers more than 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"! I stamped it with Memento ink then I "painted" with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I love using those inks...it's so relaxing. I added some copper stains to the top and bottom of the card and around the edges. I added a bouquet of roses with one of my handmade stickpins and a piece of lace that I inked up. A Prima flourish sweeps from the bouquet down the left side of the card. At the top I added some twine and layered two buttons. The sentiment is a Flourishes stamp (Seaside Life) which I punched out with a Stampin Up! punch and inked up the edges and also added some copper stain. I had a lot of fun making this card :).

I used Tiff's fabulous sketch for Sketchy Sunday {TG009}. It's a loose interpretation of the sketch, but I liked where it places the bouquet and the sentiment :). I am also entering this card into:

-DYSU Challenge Blog #9 JUST GREEN IT! - use anything with green in it: ribbon, paper, paint,...

Thank you for stopping by! I treasure all of your sweet friendships!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Aloha Friday! Wow, it's raining cats and dogs here!

Here's a card I made using the Making Memories Noel Collection. I used a The Greeting Farm stamped image. Paper pieced her hibiscus flower and her ukulele and colored her with my Copic markers. I used a Stampettes sentiment stamp and punched it out with my Stampin Up! window punch, matted it with another Stampin Up! punch and added two halfback pearls. I tied on some twine and added some vintage coconut shell buttons. Edged everything with Distress Ink.

I'm entering this card into:

-jingle belles JB10 - Home for the Holidays - being that I am from Hawaii, I thought it was fitting to have a local Hawaiian theme

-The Greeting Farm - Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - Christmas Scraps! - the challenge is to use up your Christmas stash...posted in the Greetingfarm Galleria

~* City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #46 ~ *Spring Fling* *~

Hi Everyone!

Yay, the week is almost over! I need a nap, haha!

Here's a card I made for City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #46 ~ *Spring Fling*. I love the shabby chic feel of the inspiration photo. The color challenge was to use blue, pink, green, and cream.

I started off with a white cardstock 4"x4" base card (I inked up the edges with Antique Linen). I added some Stampin Up! DP that I added an antique white paint wash to...I curled two of the corners. Added some pretty light green satin trim and Hero Arts lace trim. There are a bunch of flowers ~ some Prima, some baby rose buds dipped in UTEE, and miscellaneous paper roses. I added a stickpin I made and some pretty buttons with twine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Aloha Friday!

~* Have a donut! (3rd Post) *~

hehe...it's not Groundhog Day..,but I am here again ;p'.

Here's a card I made with a Hero Arts stamp set. I paper pieced the donuts with Pebbles and American Craft DP. The donut is on dimensional tape while the "chocolate" on the bottom is not. I added Glossy Accents, Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy, and Stickles in Frosted Lace to the curvy lines on the donuts. The sentiment is from the same Hero Arts stamp set and I paper pieced the "O" in donut. I added faux stitching with a pen around the edge of the DP.

Yummy yummy makes me want to eat a chocolate donut :).

I used the Waltzingmouse Sketch #36 for my layout. I am also entering this card into Moxie Fab World's Stamp It! Techniques Week: The Paper Piecing Challenge. I'm so loving paper piecing. So super fun! Come play along with me :)!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello again!

Here's another project I made today...I started off with a Maya Road kraft purse envelope. I added some Stampin' Up! designer papers and some pretty dual colored lace. The image is a C. C. Designs stamp called Honey ~ Lesa. I colored her up with my Copic markers. The sentiment stamp is from the AmyR Stamps Big Words Sentiments. I added a bunch of yummy buttons and a bow made out of May Arts pink burlap twine.

I'm entering this project into:
-Make it Monday with Kraft Outlet Challenge #8 - "Cute as A Button" - include either Kraft cardstock or products from Kraft Outlet

I had a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by!

~* from our home...with love *~

Hi Everyone!

I was inspired to create this card when I saw Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: An Idea in Yellow. I was inspired by the pretty yellow doors~they are so welcoming...with love. Love the trigger photo...would love to live in a home like that. I like those boots too, hee hee. I used Designer Papers from American Crafts to paper piece the house and trees, which are Stampin' Up! stamps. I added them with dimensional foam tape to the Pebbles 3"x3" card. I matted the 3"x3" piece onto a Stampin' Up! DP. The little heart banner is made from the May Arts trim and some cute buttons.

I'm not sure if you can enter into two Moxie Fabs at the same time, but I'll link this one up to the Moxie Fab Stamp It! Techniques Week: The Paper Piecing Challenge. Come play along :)!

Hope you're having a wonderful week so far!
