~* Vintage Christmas Ornament Using Tsunami Rose Designs Christmas Gift Printable Journal *~

Aloha!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I created this ornament using one of the coasters that I purchased from the Target Dollar Bin.  I added some glittery DCWV cardstock and then layered rolls of Maya Road rosette trim.  I used the adorable image and sentiment (from the cover) from Tsunami Rose Design's "Christmas Gift" Printable Journal.  I added lots of layers of lace, fibers, pearls, flower and heart pearls, pom pom trim, twine from the Dollar Bin...The images are edged with Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Frosted Lace Stickles.  I also added Frosted Lace Stickles to the chipboard snowflakes.  The holly berries were cut from a holiday spray.  A pretty satin and organza trim was added around the entire coaster.  I added some pearl trim to hang the ornament from and a pretty white lace bow.

~* Grungey Chic-y Altered Jewelry Box using the Prima Almanac Collection *~

Aloha!
Sharing an altered wood jewelry box that I made.  It was plain wood and I painted it with acrylic paint and distressed it with Distress Ink in Black Soot.  I added the beautiful papers and fussy-cut a bunch of the images and layered them for dimension.  Everything is distressed with Distress Ink and gesso.  I added a bunch of yummy vintage laces and trims, pearl trims, vintage metal pieces, vintage button, foam and paper flowers, crystals, and lots of pieces of jewelry.  I had a blast creating this project that I will give away as a gift.
I am entering this gift into Simon Says Stamp and Show - Challenge: Gift-spiration.
Thank you for stopping by!  Hope you're all having a wonderful Holiday season!  I'm so behind on my cards and gifts...December just snuck up on me especially since I was sick :(.  Wishing you all well.

~* Vintage Christmas Altered Trim Spool using Tsunami Rose Design's Christmas Gift Printable Journal *~

Aloha!
I upcycled a spool that housed my lace trim.  I added some kraft cardstock circles and distressed the edges of the spool and the cardstock with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  I used the beautiful angel image from Tsunami Rose Design's "Christmas Gift" Printable Journal.  I added some sparkly gold leaves, Prima holly berry spray, pearl trims, Stickles, burlap twine, and Pink Paislee chipboard snowflakes the I inked up with Distress Inks.  I fussy-cut the word, "Believe," from one of the printables.
I added burlap trim in the inside to create something the ornament can hang from.  I tied the top with burlap string.
The other side of the ornament has the beautiful sentiment piece from the printables.  I distressed the edges and added a bunch of Stickles.  There is some delicate lace and burlap string I tied into bows, pearl trim, chipboard snowflake, and Prima rose.

Here's a quick tag that I made in a few today.  I had fun coloring in the super adorable image called Sweet Sophie by Sweet Nothings Stamp Co with my Copics.  I used the gorgeous Glitz Joyeux Noel paper stack.  The top tab is a Stampin' Up! punch.  The sentiment is from a Flourishes stamp set.  I added some box-pleated satin trim, pearl trim, and delicate lace that I tied into a bow.  Some pearl accents were also added.
I am entering this tag into the following challenges:

~* Hello Kitty Inspired Cuddle Anya Altered Target Dollar Bin Notebook *~

Happy December!
I meant to make this post last night, but google was down :(.  So here is my altered Target Dollar Bin Notebook.  It started off with a cute big apple silhouette on the top.  I love the apple, but wanted to make something kawaii with Hello Kitty on it.  I used some cute Hello Kitty origami paper.  I added Glossy Accents and Stickles to accent the images and paper.  There is a bunch of trims, lace, and embellishments (lots of layering going on) including a bow I made from trinket pearls and a heart halfback pearl.  The image is TGF's Cuddle Anya.  I colored her with my Copic markers in colors to match the origami paper.  The colors are the "classic" Hello Kitty colors.  I fussy-cut a lot of the images including the red bow on her hat.  I added Glossy Accents.  I also added some Stickles to her cute hat :).
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says Stamp Challenge: ANYTHING GOES
2. 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog: Challenge #61 - Anything Goes
3. Craft Us Crazy: GIVE THANKS/THANK YOU and/or INSPIRE US! - and Hello Kitty inspired me to create this altered notebook :)!
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

  • Tutorial: Show us how to make an altered Gift Bag using "Vintage Corset Paper"(How to make it look nicer and more decorated and festive for whatever occasion, your choice)
  • Altered Gift Bag
  • I used the gorgeous Tsunami Rose Designs' "Vintage Corset" Printables.

#2 Use the beautiful Vintage Corset and Vintage Music Sheet Digital Printables in Pink and Purple from Tsunami Rose Designs.
#3 Cut the papers down to size.
#4 Ink up the edges of the papers with Distress Ink in tumbled glass.
#5 Create a band with layered cardstock, paper, and trim.
#6 Adhere the paper and band down.

#7
#8 Add some pearl trim to the band.
#9 Embellish with crystal heart spray and paper flowers.
#10 Finished altered gift bag.
