~* Shabby Chic Card using La-La Land Crafts Altered Heart Balloon Marci *~

Aloha!
Can't believe 2014 is just around the corner!  I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!  May the New Year bring you many smiles, much laughter, and good health!
Here is a card that I made today.  I was inspired by the sketch on the La-La Lands Craft Group Facebook page Contest #22 - Sketch Challenge.  I'm entering this card in the challenge.

I altered Heart Balloon Marci, but cutting off the balloon.  I wanted the image of Marci to stand alone and be the focus of the card.  I colored her up with my Copic markers.  I used the beautiful DCWV The Primrose stack.  I distressed the edges with my fingernail.  I cut the butterfly from the collection and added a Butterbee Scraps metal butterfly that distressed with gesso.  I bent the butterflies at the body to give them more dimension.  I knotted some trinket pearls and added it as the body of the butterfly.  I also used Butterbee Scraps metal filigree corners and distressed them with gesso.  I added some trinket pearls, Wild Orchid Crafts roses and cabochon and heart pearls, Prima baby roses, a button, a flower bead, Prima crochet flourish, and crochet trim I tied in a bow.  The sentiment, "Love," is a Girl's Paperie trinket charm.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that all is well!
*hugs* and Much aloha,
Steph :)

Aloha!
Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays!
Sharing a cupcake stickpin cushion that I created and also some stickpins I created.  I created the stickpin cushion out of a Target Dollar Bin ceramic dish.  It has embossed hearts all around the outside of the dish.  I used some glittery turquoise fabric and added some white lace over it.  I added some pink gingham eyelet trim and white rose eyelet trim from My Paper Passion on Zibbet.  I also added some ivory teardrop pearl trim and white iridescent halfback pearls.  The top has a piece of the delicate cream lace from My Paper Passion.  I added an acrylic flower on the top.
The stickpins are 3" stickpins made with various glass, acrylic, and plastic beads as well as rondelles.

~* Shabby Chic Christmas Altered Shadow Box *~

Aloha!
Sharing with you the Shabby Chic Christmas Altered Shadow Box that I had created for the Walking in a Winter Wonderland YT Hop :)!  I had a ton of fun creating this project.  Hope you were able to hop along with us on the Hop :).
I created this shadow box with a Melissa & Doug wood box that contained a children's craft kit.  Love altering these boxes.  They are perfect and the price is reasonable :).  I gessoed up the entire box.  It was originally pink.  I adhered the Melissa Frances "Home for the Holidays" designer papers on all the faces of the interior nooks.  I added snowtex for that wintery snow feel.  I painted the sides and top of the box with Martha Stewart stucco paint, then painted those sides and top and the back with China Blue acrylic paint.  I embellished embellished embellished.
There is Webster's Pages trim, velvet spray, and key.  There are Prima roses, bling, and crochet and fabric flowers.  I used a bunch of Christmas sprays as well as Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, a crochet covered bead, appliques, glittery leaves, pom pom trim, glass pearls, crochet trim, crochet doilies from Kaisercraft, lace trim, Pink Paislee chipboard snowflakes, and my favorite knotted pearl trim.  The letters are Studio Calico Thickers :).
I made this as an inspirational piece.  Just remember that things may be rough sometimes, but it will all work out at the end.  big *hugs*
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day :)!

~* Let It Snow! Christmas Card *~

Aloha!
I made this card last nite.  I used the super duper adorable "Eris Catching Snowflakes" image from Little Blue Button Stamps.  I just had to get her!  She reminds me of one of the gorjuss girls :).  I colored her up with my Copic markers and then I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the white parts of her clothing.  I also glossy accented her crown.  I used papers from the Everybody Loves Christmas by Bella Road - Echo Park Paper Company.  I also used some of the stickers from the collection.  The wood letters are from a kiddie craft kit.  All the trims (except the mini pom pom trim) and the candy gems are from The Piece by Piece.  I added a halfback pearl from my stash.
I am entering this card in the Little Blue Button Stamps Monthly challenge No11 Nov.10th-Dec.8th Christmas is here!  The challenge is to make a card or any project you like Christmas inspired , you have to use at least one image stamp (it doesn't have to be with LBBS stamp).

~* Prima Delight Afternoon Tea Card as Guest Designer for My Paper Passion on Zibbet *~

Aloha!
Sharing another project that I created as a Guest Designer for My Paper Passion on Zibbet.  I started off with a corrugated card base.  I used the papers from the Prima Delight collection by Jodie Lee.  The edges are distresed with my fingernail.  The image is The Greeting Farm's Hatter Bean that I colored up with my Copic markers.  I added Stickles to her as well as atyouSpica pen.
I used a bunch of the yummy trims from My Paper Passion on Zibbet including the natural crochet lace on the top, the rose trim, the box pleated trim with satin peach trim in the center, the mini white halfback pearls, the natural crochet trim that I tied into bows on the top lefthand corner and the bottom righthand corner, the dark pink halfback pearls on the bottom, and the pink gingham eyelet lace on the bottom.  I also made that flower in the upper lefthand corner using the box pleated trim and two other laces that I cut into the circular shape flowing the flower design on them.
I also embellished the card with Stickles, pearls, flowers, a button, mini pompom trim, and Webster's Pages heart trim.

~* Shabby Chic Afternoon Tea "Thanks" Card *~

Aloha Sweet Friends!
This project is for Graphic 45's November Challenge - Thank You Cards.  I made a shabby chic afternoon tea card using Graphic 45's A Ladies Diary.  I started off with a Recollections corrugated cardboard card base.  I added the designer papers, distressed the edges with my fingernail and with gesso.  I curled the corner of the paper.  I also did something different this time.  I colored up the teapot and teacup image with my Copics and then added Crackle Accents to the images.  At first, I thought I ruined the paper, but I like how it came out.  I made a banner with the images from the collection and stamped "thanks" using Studio G stamps.
I added bits of laces and trinket pearls that I tied in knots and beautiful flowers and a stickpin I made.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day :)!
*hugs* and Much aloha,
Steph :)
