Here's an altered Michaels frame that my friend Joanne gave to me.  It was originally all green (you can see the original color peaking through).  I painted the frame with Lilac Mist acrylic paint.  Then I added Sparkle Mod Podge on top. I really like how it looks :).  I added the beautiful designer paper from the Tsunami Rose Designs' "New Beginnings" Printable Journal.  I also fussy-cut the pretty butterfly and floral image from the collection.  I added Crackle Accents to the butterfly, then added a layer of Sparkle Mod Podge on top.  There is some lace that I tied in a knot, a heart pearl, trinket pearls draped on the frame, some paper flowers that I added Stickles to.  I painted the white plastic fan button with the same acrylic paint and then added Stickles all over.  I added a piece of the flower pearl trim near the handle.

~* Simple Kawaii Valentine's Day Box for My Hubby *~

Aloha!
Got this super kawaii freebie from Kitty Bee Designs today.  He's called Cupid Bun.  I colored him with my Copics.  The little arrow was on the ground, but I put it by his bow.  hehe.
Wanted to make something for the hubs.  So here's a super simple altered Target Valentine's Day box.  I used the Target Dollar Bin Foam Heart and some Studio G bling I scattered around.  I added some wood letter beads and added a cute lace trim all around.
Happy Aloha Friday!

Here is the "pocket with card" I created using the gorgeous Tsunami Rose Designs "New Beginnings" Printable Journal.  You can visit my YouTube Channel HERE to see my tutorial on how to make a similar pocket.  This time I simply created it with a glassine bag.
I added Distress Crackle Paint on parts of the designer printable papers.  I love the effect.  I distressed all the edges of the papers with Distress Ink.  Added flower pearl trims, pearl trims, organza flower trim, paper and fabric flowers, and heart pearls.
Come play along with us :)!

Sharing a card I made using a kraft corrugated card base.  I added some cardstock and designer paper.  The designer paper is the Carta Bella Paris Girl collection.
The adorable image is La-La Land Crafts Heart Balloon Marci.  I colored her using my Copic markers.
I added a bunch of Wild Orchid Craft flowers, the heart crystal spray, satin butterfly, pearls, pearl trim, Stickles, and heart cutout satin trim.  I also cut strips from the paper so that "You make me smile!" is showing to the right of Marci.  I also cut the strip of the Eiffel Towers and banners.

~* Honey Love Card *~

Aloha!
Hope you're all having a great week so far!  Can you believe it's mid-January 2013 already?!?  Where did the time go?
Here's a card that I created with the beautiful digital papers from Tsunami Rose Designs' "New Beginnings" Printable Journal.  I layered the papers and distressed the edges with Distress Inks.  I used a Martha Stewart punch on the corners.  The image is the adorable Honey Digital Image illustrated by Yampuff that I purchased from Alicia's Little Shop.  If she looks familiar, I made another card with this cutie pie here.  I colored her up with my Copic markers.  I had fun embellishing this card with my faves - paper roses, bits of lace, trim, and pearl trim, and pearls :).  I also used Distress Ink to color up the back portion of the card.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
2. Alicia's Challenge #2 - The theme: Use your favorite crafty item on your creation!  I added a bunch of my faves as mentioned above :).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)!

~* Altered Wood Plaque Using Sushi Doll's Abby Birthday Balloons *~

Aloha!
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far!
Sharing with you an altered wood plaque that I made for my Mommy's Birthday.  I hope she likes it!
I painted the plaque with gesso and champagne metallic acrylic paint.  I used papers from the Prima Meadow Lark collection.  I altered the adorable Abby Birthday Balloons image to hold a flower that was from the Prima Meadow Lark collection and I added a paper rose that I distressed with Distress Ink in milled lavender.  I colored her with my Copic markers.  I added tons of Wild Orchid Craft embellishments (paper flowers, heart and circular pearl shapes, fabric butterflies, and rose cabochon), lots of bits of lace and pearl trims, rosette trim, a stickpin I made, and some other embellishments.

Today's challenge is to follow this lovely sketch!  Super pretty with the lace trim.  Here is the card I created using the gorgeous Tsunami Rose Designs "New Beginnings" Printable Journal.  I layered the beautiful prints and distressed the edges with Distress Ink in milled lavender.  I added lace, paper and fabric flowers, an applique that I inked up, a lace bow with halfback pearl, and Stickles to the main image.  The sentiment is perfect for this retirement card.  New Beginnings...and also for the new year!  Here's to an amazing 2013 :)!

~* Happy Valentine's Day, Honey :) *~

Aloha!

I purchased this adorable digi image, Honey, from Alicia's Little Shop.  It was challenging coloring her with my Copics, but I had a lot of fun.  I know there are mistakes, but it's okay :).  I had great crafty therapy tonight finishing up the card.  I used the gorgeous Authentique Lovely Collection.  I also used a Studio G square card with decorative edge as the base.  There is a ton of lace and lace bits here and there and Wild Orchid Craft roses and pearl trims.  I also used a Target Dollar Bin scalloped heart foam piece and one of the ephemera images from the paper collection.  I also added Stickles to sweet Honey :).
I'm entering this card into Alicia's Special Challenge - "Anything Goes".
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Aloha Friday!

~* Tsunami Rose Designs - Challenge Wednesday - #1 - "Anything Goes" *~

Aloha!
Tsunami Rose Links
For the challenge, I created a "New Year's" Ornament for my friend. She loves pinks and purples and nature so I knew the perfect thing to make for her. I used the gorgeous papers from Tsunami Rose Designs "New Beginnings" Printable Journal. Her designs can be used on any project.
I cut the designer paper to cover the Target Dollar Bin coaster. I put on a coat of Sparkle Modge Podge. I love how it came out! So sparkley and pretty! I also used some Distress Inks in Milled Lavender and Victorian Velvet. There are various embellishments (foam roses, paper peonies and chrysanthemums, satin roses, appliques that I inked up, pearls, wheat sprays,...) and trims (pearl trims, lace,...). I inked up many of the flowers and added Star Dust Stickles to them. I made the stickpin with the butterfly bead. I adhered paper to a Pink Paislee wood letter, "K," and added Modge Podge and Distress Inks.
Check out Daisy's printables - you won't be disappointed :)!
Thank you for stopping by and Happy New Year! Here's to an awesome 2013 filled with smiles, laughter, and good health!
