~* Tsunami Rose Designs' "Polished Lackluster" Printable Journal - A HowTo Assemble Tute and Contest Video *~

Aloha!
Sharing another Design Team Project for Tsunami Rose Designs.  I created a journal using the gorgeous Tsunami Rose Designs' "Polished Lackluster" Printable Journal.  I didn't want to do too much to the journal because it was already gorgeous as is.  Also, I didn't want to make it too bulky.
I adhered the cover pages to chipboard and glued the pages together.  The top cover has XL eyelets and the journal is bound with some pretty crochet lace.  I embellished the cover with a doilie, a sentiment piece from the collection, Prima bling, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, pearls, and crystals.
Page elements were accented with Crackle Accents, Stickles, image and sentiment pieces from the collection, lace, cabochons,...I also used some of the pockets and journaling cards throughout the journal.  There are so many fun elements to play with!
Please check out my video below for more info!

~* Shabby Chic Altered Wood Printer's Tray using Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings *~

Aloha!
Happy Aloha Friday!
Sharing an altered wood printer's tray that I created for a my friend Bonnie's lace giveaway challenge.  I used a Melissa and Doug wood tray that I painted with gesso.  I adhered tissue paper that had text on it all over the sides and back of the tray.  I distressed it again with gesso.
I adhered designer paper from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collection in each of the boxes.  I then embellished with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, cabochons (Wild Orchid Crafts and Claire's), teapot and tea cup wood pieces from Kaisercraft, yummy laces (Wild Orchid Crafts, May Arts, Prima Alencon, The Piece By Piece, lavishlaces), a wood Scrabble piece, fabric rosettes (lavishlaces and Making Memories), half back pearls, trinket pearls tied in knots, a "milk glass" bead, and Claire's jewelry pieces.  I distressed everything with gesso.  The teapot and tea cup were painted with gesso and then I rubbed on Distress Ink in Tattered Rose.  I added Thickers to spell out "bonnie."  I also added some paper doilies, crochet doilies, and crochet flowers.
I am also submitting this project into Sugar Creek Hollow: #61 Clean It Out Challenge.  I used everything that was in my stash, including an older paper collection.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

~* Sweet Tag/Bookmark for a Friend using Sushi Dolls "Me Chy" *~

Aloha!
Sharing another Design Team project for Silly Shy Sushi Dolls, a.k.a. Sushi Dolls.  I made this sweet tag/bookmark for my friend as a thank you.  I wanted to keep the tag pretty flat so she could use it as a bookmark.  I used the Crate Paper "Pretty Party" paper collection and the ADORABLE Sushi Dolls "Me Chy" digi.  I colored her up with my Copic markers.  I made some fishtail banners out of the paper collection.  I stamped the sentiment, "hello," and added some Stickles to the banners.  I also punched out butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch.  I layered them and added Stickles.  I punched a hole using my Crop-o-dile and added some sweet lace from my friend Jes.

~* Grungey Chic Altered Box, Altered Paper Mache Letter, and Easel Card using Prima Romance Novel *~

Aloha!
Here are some projects I created for a swap with my friend.  She likes the colors black, white, and pink and also the Parisian flair.  She also mentioned that she really liked the grungey chic altered paper mache letter that I made for our friend.  Since I had created the grungey chic altered paper mache letter with the Prima Romance Novel collection, I decided to go that same route - grungey chic!  Hope she likes these handmade gifts.
Here's an altered wood box that I made.  I started off with a wood box with a hinged lid.  I painted the faces that I was going to alter with gesso. I then covered the box with the Prima Romance collection.  I distressed all the edges of the papers with my distressing tool as well as Distress Ink in Black Soot.  I curled up some of the corners of the papers.  The white and black Guipire lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  There are Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, Claire's jewelry pieces I used as embellishments (including the bottle of gems, the black bow, the Eiffel Tower Coin, the black bling, and the pink pearl beaded trim), resin rose cabochons and a bead from some costume jewelry...I used my Art Is, Ledger, and brick stencils with modeling paste all over all of these projects.
The ivory rosette trim and the metal pieces that I used as the few are from my friend, Annie.  I used some laces that I purchased from The Piece by Piece.  I tied some Wild Orchid Crafts seam binding into a bow and added a jewelry piece from Forever 21.  There is also some May Arts crochet trim that I tied in a bow and placed it over the brick pattern.
Everything is distressed with gesso or Distress Ink in Black Soot.
Here's an altered paper mache letter T that I made.  I painted the entire letter with gesso first.  I then used the Prima Romance Novel papers which I have layered and distressed with my distressing tool and Distress Ink in Black Soot.  I cut open parts of the paper, place some other designer paper beneath and added some pretty ecru lace.  I used a bunch of flowers from my friend Rina, as well as Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  I added some more jewelry pieces - the other side of the black bling earring, an Eiffel Tower charm, and an Eiffel Tower with coral rose earring.  There are pearl stamens, trinket pearls I tied in knots, a Prima Vintage Trinket, a fancy button, some more costume jewelry rose resin pieces, and some vintage lace.
A little mini dove sits in the middle flower cluster.  I added two stickpins that I made.  There is some more of the Guipire lace and the May Arts crochet trim.  I added a halfback pearl on the May Arts crochet trim bow.
I used my stencils here and there.  Everything is distressed with gesso or Distress Ink in Black Soot.
Here's an easel card that I made.  I started off with black cardstock.  I added different pieces of the Romance Novel designer papers.  I curled up the right corner to reveal the Guipire lace below.  There are Wild Orchid Crafts roses, seam binding, May Arts crochet trim, a crochet doilie, a resin rose cabochon, trinket pearls I tied in a knot...I added some black rosette trim from my friend Annie, trinket pearls, some heart lace trim from Suhafuha, and some more of the May Arts crochet trim.
I used my stencils on this card as well.  Everything is distressed with gesso or Distress Ink in Black Soot.

** Since my favorite Distress Ink at the moment is Black Soot, which I used on each of the projects, I would like to enter these projects into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Favorite Ink.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

~* SNSC Card using Cupcake Sophie *~

Aloha!
Today, I'm back with another Design Team Project for the Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.  I made a card for my niece's birthday.  I used Cupcake Sophie.  She comes with the sentiment, "I'm Sweet on You!"  How cute is that!  I colored her up with my Copic markers.  I added Glossy Accents to her hair clip, the heart on her shirt, and the cherry.  I also added Stickles in Frosted Lace and Star Dust on the cupcake.
I used the adorable "My Favorite Things" paper collection from Recollections.  I layered several of the designer papers and fussy cut a lot of images.  I also accented many of the images with Glossy Accents and Stickles.
I added some pearl and acrylic embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as some vintage blue checkered trim and some halfback pearls.  I used my atyou spica glitter pen to accent many of the images with a glittery sheen.
I adhered some more of the designer papers to the back where I will write my message to my sweet little niece.
Come check out the Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. blog

~* Tsunami Rose Designs D.T. Project: Shabby Chic Pin Cushion using TRD's Printable Ephemera Sampler #3-Tags *~

Aloha!
Sharing another Design Team Project for Tsunami Rose Designs.  I made a shabby chic pin cushion out of an old SPAM container using Tsunami Rose Designs "Printable Ephemera Sampler #3-Tags" and printables from the "Ephemeral Love AffairPaper Pack.
Pink Chinese braid trim and halfback pearls line the top part of the container and some gorgeous ecru lace and the May Arts crochet trim line the bottom part of the container.
I used two images from the Sampler #3-Tags.  The pretty fairy girl and the postage card one.  I added Stickles to the fairy girl images and Stickles and Crackle Accents to the postage card image.
Halfback pearls frame the fairy girl image.  There is a yummy crochet doilie with Wild Orchid Crafts roses and some embellishments from Hobby Lobby.  I added a Stampin' Up! rose cabochon and trinket pearls I tied in a bow.
There are two bows layered on top of one another.  The bottom one is from a piece of jewelry from Claire's.  It had the butterfly charm hanging from it.  I added a double bow that I tied using the May Arts crochet trim.  There are bits of my favorite Prima Alencon lace.
I added some of the designer paper to the bottom and then added some wood flower pots as the feet.
I The stickpin cushion is made from a shabby chic rose fabric and white lace fabric.  I added some porcelain roses, a Claire's Eiffel Tower with rose earring, and a bow I tied with the May Arts crochet trim.
