~* gorjuss girl Altered Paper Bag *~

Aloha!
Sharing an altered paper bag that I made using some of the new papers that I just purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I layered the papers and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.  I colored up the gorjuss girl with my Copic markers.  She's from the set called "You Brought Me Love.  I added Stickles to her bows and socks and to the stars on her boots. I also added Glossy Accents to her boots.  I added a pearl heart and some Stickles in the center of it.  The heart with lines and the cluster of three hearts on the top is also from the same stamp set.  I stamped the heart with lines onto the designer paper and added Glossy Accents to the images.  I added a Kaisercraft wood veneer over that stamped image.  There is a crochet doilie under the images.  I added a cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts roses and flowers, a wood veneer from Prima, knotted pearl trim, a crochet trim that I tied in a bow and added a halfback pearl, and I added two stickpins that I made.  I also added some burlap twine.  On the top I added some crochet trim and some designer paper.  Everything was distressed with Vintage Photo.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

~* gorjuss girl Vintage Elegance Card *~

Aloha!
Sharing a quick card that I made using a kraft cardstock base (some scraps) and I added some of the new papers that I just purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I layered the papers and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.  I colored up the gorjuss girl with my Copic markers.  She's from the set called "You Brought Me Love."  I added Sticklers to her bows, the bottom of her dress, and her boots.  I added some pretty trim that I won from Nat's Zibbet store.  I also added bows that I made using May Arts lace and crochet lace.  I added a halfback pearl that my friend Rina gave to me.  I also added a bunch of Wild Orchid Crafts products - the beautiful cameo, roses, and cherry blossom.  I distressed the flowers with Vintage Photo as well.  I added some trinket pearls that I knotted (my fave thing to do!).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)!

~* Sailor Honey Easel Card *~

Aloha!
Sharing an easel card that I made for a friend.  I started off with a kraft cardstock base, which I distressed with Vintage Photo.  I used Studio Calico designer papers and Amy Tangerine corrugated cardboard paper.
I used the adorable Sailor Honey.  I colored her up with my Copic markers and added some Stickles to her shorts.  I embellished with Stickles, Prima flowers, Studio Calico anchor punch pieces, Studio Calico burnished wood veneers, burlap string, pom pom trim, flower pearl trim, and pleated satin trim.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

~* Altered Sunscreen Box using Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Collection for Graphic 45 September "Autumn Upcycling" Challenge on Facebook *~

Aloha!
I wanted to play along with the Graphic 45 September "Autumn Upcycling" Challenge on Facebook.  You can go over now and vote for your favorite :)!
Our challenge was to upcycle a household item using a Halloween or Autumn theme with Graphic 45 papers and Staples.  I upcycled a Shiseido sunscreen box with the Graphic 45 Happy Haunting collection and the Staples metal flower.
I covered the entire box with different designer papers from the Graphic 45 Happy Haunting collection.  I then added Glossy Accents and Stickles to many of the images to give them dimension.  I also fussy-cut images from the papers.  The image of the girl and pumpkin and the ravens are on dimensional foam adhesive.  I added the metal flower that I bent up the edges, some black lace, and a flower bling that I got from Claire's.  I added a row of bling on top edge and black half-back pearls on the bottom edge.
Side Views:
On the back, I added some black velcro to close the box.  I added some designer paper to the inside of the flap as well.
On the top, I added a black bead from Rozzella's kit and some black lace from Jaizella's store - Lavish Laces.
I added some designer paper and some large half-back pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts as the feet of the box.
It's a fun box to hold Halloween treats :)!
(Note: post date was to coincide with the date that voting begins.)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)!

~* Shabby Chic Altered Pizza Cardboard Circle *~

Aloha!
So, I've gotten excited before eating at one of the eateries near my work.  I always get excited because they give me a pastry bag/glassine bag to put in some napkins when I order pizza to go.  This time, not only did I get a pastry bag, the circular cardboard under my pizza was clean (they put a piece of parchment paper over it).  So, I decided to alter it!
I've been itching to do shabby shabby chic so this is what I came up with.  I first painted the cardboard with gesso.  Then, I used the pretty papers from the Colorbok Victorian Parlour collection that my friend Rina had given to me.  I used a couple of the papers which I distressed with my fingernail and also fussy-cut images from, including the top piece (which I added Stickles to) and the left side piece.
Then, I embellished, embellished, embellished.  I used a bunch of yummies from Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima, and MB's Treasurista.  The large oval doilie is from MB's Treasurista.  At first, I was going to trim it to fit the circle, but I liked how it looked draping over and beyond the cardboard circle.
There is a beautiful applique with satin flower in the middle at the top of the altered piece.  I also added some Pink Paislee chipboard butterflies, crystal spray, pearl stamen, a glittery milk glass like button from my friend Rose, some Prima Alencon lace, azar berry sprays, beaded trinket pearls that I knotted, paper leaves and flowers that I stickled, a crown stickpin, and gorgeous laces.
I am entering this project into the Wild Orchid Challenge: Challenge 84 - Pink and Cream.  The majority of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts - trellis roses, cottage roses, rosebuds, wild roses, baby roses, and cream rose cabochons.  I also added some Guipire lace and a crown stickpin from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)!
